PSYCHOTHERAPY & APPLIED PSYCHOLOGY PODCAST
An integrated digital communications project combining web content, visual design, and social media promotion to introduce an academic podcast and connect it with professional, student, and mental-health audiences.

PSYCHOTHERAPY & APPLIED PSYCHOLOGY PODCAST
Project Overview
The Psychotherapy & Applied Psychology podcast, hosted by Dr. Dan Cox, explores topics in psychotherapy, counselling, psychology, and mental health.
The project focused on establishing a cohesive digital presence for the podcast, increasing awareness, and creating clear pathways for audiences to discover and access episodes across platforms.
My Role
As Web & Communications Coordinator, I developed the digital communications materials supporting the podcast launch, including landing-page content and visual assets, social media graphics, promotional copy, and platform-specific adaptations for the ECPS website, Facebook, and X.
My role combined content development and visual communication, ensuring that messaging remained professional and informative while adapting the presentation and tone for different digital channels.
The Communication Challenge
The podcast needed to reach both specialized and broader audiences—from students and professionals in psychotherapy, counselling, and psychology to people interested in mental health topics.
This required balancing the credibility expected of an academic environment with approachable messaging that could encourage audiences to explore and listen to the podcast.

Content Across Channels
Content was adapted according to the purpose and audience of each channel. The website provided more detailed, formal information about the podcast and access to listening platforms, while social media used shorter, more conversational copy and direct calls to action to encourage discovery and engagement.
Visual assets were also resized and adapted to platform requirements while maintaining a consistent identity across the ECPS website, Facebook, and X.

Social Media Promotion
I developed promotional posts for ECPS social channels using concise, audience-friendly messaging, calls to action, and platform-appropriate visual assets to direct audiences to the podcast.
The campaign was promoted primarily through Facebook and X, with messaging designed to introduce the podcast quickly while providing a clear path to listen or learn more.

Results & Impact
The campaign helped increase visibility for the podcast across ECPS digital channels and created a consistent path from social promotion to podcast discovery.
By combining web content, visual design, and social media messaging within one cohesive experience, the project strengthened the podcast's digital presence while making it easier for audiences to discover and access its content.
